What We Collect

We collect your email address and name when you create an account. When you check content, we temporarily store it for analysis.

How We Use Your Data

Fake Finder uses artificial intelligence to assess the content you submit. Your submitted content is used only to perform that analysis and is automatically deleted after 7 days. We keep anonymized patterns to improve our detection system. Results are AI-generated and indicative only.

Who We Share Data With

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers we need to run Fake Finder, under agreements that require them to protect it:

• AI/analysis providers — to assess the content you submit.
• Payment provider (e.g. Stripe, and the Apple App Store / Google Play for in-app purchases) — to process subscriptions.
• Email provider — to send account and password-reset emails.
• Hosting/infrastructure providers — to operate and secure the Service.

International Data Transfers

Fake Finder is operated from New Zealand, and some of the providers above are located overseas, so your information may be processed outside New Zealand. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is protected by comparable safeguards (for example, contractual protections). By using the Service you acknowledge that, because some providers are overseas, your information may not always be protected by laws that provide the same safeguards as the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

• Delete your account and all data permanently

• Data portability - export in standard format

Data Retention

Submitted content: Deleted after 7 days. Account data: Kept until you delete your account. Anonymized patterns: Kept permanently to improve detection.

All data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We use industry-standard security practices.
